Nepal has a long tradition of retreat, from Buddhist meditation centres around Kathmandu and Lumbini to Hindu ashrams.
We build slow routes with two or three long stays rather than many short ones, and we tell you plainly which retreats are silent, which are residential, and which suit a first-timer.
