Rhododendron month. The ridges of Sandakpur and Tinjure–Milke–Jaljale turn red and pink, and the first flush is in full swing in Ilam and Kanyam. The Kanchenjunga and Makalu treks are in season, with warm days and some afternoon cloud. Late in the month the Baisakh full moon may bring Sakela Ubhauli to Rai villages and towns such as Dhankuta.
