Temple Tree Resort & Spa

A garden resort of stone and timber buildings in Lakeside, Pokhara, a short walk from Phewa Lake, with a spa and a calm courtyard feel. A comfortable base for the lake and the town, and a good place to recover after a trek.

Temple Tree is set back from the busy Lakeside road behind walls, around gardens with traditional-style buildings of stone, brick and carved wood. Step through the gate and the scooters and shop music fade. Rooms open onto the gardens, and the spa, as the name promises, is part of the experience.

Its position is practical: Phewa's boat stands, the cafes of Lakeside and the start of the Sarangkot and Peace Pagoda walks are all within easy reach on foot. It suits travellers who want comfort and some calm without leaving town, and trekkers who want a hot shower and a massage after a week on the trails. Book early for October and November.

Why we use it

Questions

Where is Temple Tree Resort in Pokhara?

Temple Tree Resort & Spa is in Lakeside, Pokhara, a short walk from Phewa Lake and the main strip of restaurants and shops. It is about 15–20 minutes by taxi from Pokhara International Airport and the Tourist Bus Park. Its walled gardens make it quieter than its central location suggests.

Is Temple Tree Resort good after a trek?

Yes. It is a popular choice for trekkers returning from Poon Hill, Mardi Himal or Annapurna Base Camp, with comfortable rooms, gardens and a spa for massages. Being in Lakeside, it is close to trekking agencies, permit offices and restaurants. Many agencies can store excess luggage here while you trek; confirm in advance.

Is Temple Tree Resort suitable for families?

It works well for families who want comfort and a central location, with gardens for children and easy walks to the lake for boating. Ask about room configurations when booking, as family rooms may be limited. Lakeside traffic means children should be supervised on the road outside.
