Dry season returns. Skies clear, rivers drop and the park opens fully. Grass is still tall early in the month, so canoe trips and jungle walks are more rewarding than jeep drives. Dashain and Tihar fill October and early November, and Chhath follows six days after Tihar's Laxmi Puja, sometimes in late October. By the end of the month most park activities resume, though jungle walks are wet and the grass tall.
